A Chic New York Elopement for Two

May 18, 2023

MUAH: Kate Looney | FLORALS: April Floral Design | DRESS: Zimmermann | SHOES: Manolo Blahnik

Olivia and David came from Sweden to elope in New York City. They wanted the day to be just about the two of them in their favorite city, so we planned our logistics around their wedding ceremony location – the Swedish Church of New York – and picked two most iconic NYC locations – The New York Public Library and Central Park. Olivia wore a stunning, flirty summer dress by Zimmermann and classic Manolo Blahnik mules.

The New York Public Library Elopement

The New York Public Library is a premier wedding venue in New York. The steps, the fountains, the hallways, and the glass ceiling of the landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman Building at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street are just stunning and its architecture speaks for itself –  timeless elegancy, history and sophistication. While it’s possible to rent the space indoors for bigger weddings and events, many couples also visit the library to have their photos taken in front of the building.

Central Park Elopement

All the beautiful iconic corners of Central Park are popular among wedding and elopement couples. As quintessential as the New York Public Library, the South-East corner of Central Park next to the Plaza hotel was our choice for Olivia & David’s elopement photos. The famous Gapstow Bridge that faces the Plaza and the Pond offers a moment of tranquil beauty in any season and breathtaking skylines views.
