A destination wedding in the South of France is a dream for many couples, and for good reason. The region is known for its breathtaking scenery, charming towns, and luxurious lifestyle. As a destination wedding photographer, I always enjoy traveling to new places and immersing myself in a local experience. M&F’s wedding in Grasse was a family-oriented celebration with an ode to the groom’s family local favorites.
Bringing together both sides of family and friends, some of whom have never met, the couple decided to host a welcome aperitif the evening before the wedding for their guests to mingle and get to know each other.
La Bastide Saint-Antoine is a stunning wedding venue located in Grasse, South of France. This charming 18th-century country house offers an elegant and romantic setting for your special day, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding hills.
The venue features beautifully manicured gardens, a swimming pool, and a lovely outdoor terrace where you can host your ceremony or reception. The interior of the property is equally impressive, with beautifully decorated rooms that exude an air of sophistication and luxury.
La Bastide Saint-Antoine also offers exceptional catering services, with a menu that showcases the finest local ingredients and flavors of the region. Additionally, the venue offers 16 beautifully appointed guest rooms, so you and your guests can stay on site and enjoy the beautiful surroundings for a few days.
Grasse is famous for its perfumeries and flower fields, so it was important for the couple to incorporate local flowers into their wedding decor. The ceremony was held in between the olive trees followed by a quick pre-lunch appetitive. Since most guests were accommodated on-site, the couple decided to split the day in two parts, so everyone could take a break after the ceremony to hide in the shade, change outfits or refresh by the pool. The second part of the day was the reception hosted on-site. The restaurant served Provençal-style dishes and paired them with local wines and cocktails. The live musicians from the local Lucas and the Bards perfectly created an intimate, yet celebratory ambiance for all guests.
