A New Year’s Eve Wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns

The venue

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is an elegant wedding venue located in Westchester county, only a 30-mile drive north from New York City. This 80-acre working farm and agricultural center is set amidst rolling hills and scenic countryside, providing a picturesque and tranquil setting for weddings.

The venue features several event spaces, including a beautifully restored barn with soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and rustic charm. Weddings are hosted in the beautiful HayLoft (that seats 40-260 guests) and ceremonies can be accommodated on site. There are also several outdoor spaces, including a courtyard and terrace, where guests can take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The food

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is known for its farm-to-table philosophy, and its menus are crafted using the freshest and highest-quality ingredients sourced from the farm and local producers. The venue offers a range of catering options, including multi-course tasting menus and family-style meals.

The couple

When Julia and Michael reached out, they had only one request for their wedding photography – to embrace a 100% candid approach and make the photos look natural. It’s not a typical for the industry approach to skip family formals and posed portraits, but we gladly embraced it. As a result, the couple had the time to socialize with their guests without rushing it, and the whole day felt more relaxed and stress-free. As a fashion-forward wedding photographer, it’s worth to add that I am completely in love with the bride’s elegant and timeless choice of wedding gown by Oscar de la Renta and the beautiful, yet very practical heels by Valentino.
