Many of you (if you follow me on Instagram) know that I took a really joyful two weeks break at the end of February-beginning of March and headed to Europe. I spent one week with my sister in Paris and the other week my mother in London - a partial family reunion since we all live in different places and don't see each other often.
The very first night in Paris we got a chance to stay in a beautiful 4-star hotel in Latin Quarter called Hotel La Lanterne. It is very conveniently located and in a walking distance from Notre Dame de Paris (literally 5 min). I highly recommend staying in this area because not only it has many cafes and restaurants, but also the neighborhood vibe seemed very charming and local to me, not touristy at all.
The higher-level rooms offer pretty views over Parisian roofs and the main-floor rooms face the small garden. Even though, the common area of the hotel is very small, but yet it feels homy and friendly.
I had an overnight flight from NYC (where I managed to sleep for few continuous hours) with a stop in London, which overall wasn't that bad, but by the end of the day I could barely walk any longer or had any strength to explore around. Luckily, the hotel has a small swimming pool and hammam, so it was really nice just to chill there for an hour or two before going to bed.
It was a truly great start of our trip, and I will be sharing more tips, sightseeing and foodie places in my next blog post. Stay tuned :)
